DANGBX050: Arc Feat. Kate Miles – Currents

Arc returns with their latest production titled “Currents” and for this release they team up with the lovely “Kate Miles” who usually records with “Smart Apes.” The boys put together a nice bass stumbler track and strange unique synths on “Currents”, fused with Kate’s glitchy vocals, and lovely breakdowns.

On remix duties we have Shiftplu5f8 who is also part of “Airplay 47.” His progressive touch gives the song a different approach and the vocal work that’s behind it is also very different giving us a newer sound. Then we have “Silva” who is also a new comer to the Dangerbox Family. His EP will be out very soon, and he touches up Currents with a warm Progressive house vibe, that will fit well on Ibiza sets.

Arc is giving us just a taste of whats in store for the album , due later on Early Fall on Dangerbox.

When Arc unites its powers with the talented Kate Miles the whole dance community listens carefully as the good result is guaranteed. Original is a creative powerful hybrid of trance, electro and dirty grooves while Silva mix follows a deeper prog house meets trance direction. My favorite is Shiftplu5F8 Remix that works really well in a progressive trance set full of nice melodies, strings, synths and the fragile vocals of the lovely Kate. certainly a release that can stand out from the rest!

After listening to all the productions, the best single for this release is the Silva Remix, the Silva Remix has a great progressive feel which definitely compliments Kate’s voice very nicely. We also enjoyed the Shiftplu5F8 version, Kate has a great angelic voice backed up with amazing sounds and all tracks are very well mastered at excellent quality.

This release should do very very well within the industry and should receive a good mass of support from bigger artists and radio shows. We will give this release our full support with a 9/10 rating for the awesome compositions and well structured builds within all productions. 9/10
